Helena's Journal.

Hi there! My name is Helena, thank you for visiting!
I have been living here at the Indraloka Animal Sanctuary for 7 years and this is my story.

A Different Sort of Goat
By: Indra Lahiri on 11/02/2008
Helena is different from all our other goats. While they are all much more mischievous and boisterous, Helena is laid back and gentle. She is quite shy with new people at first, but if you have patience, she warms up and becomes very affectionate. Helena came to us shortly after giving birth to Tristan, another of our goats. They were a different situation from most of our animals here, as they had been well cared for by a loving family. Unfortunately, the father of the family was diagnosed with a terminal illness, with only months to live. He wanted to lighten his wife’s load before he passed, and asked us if we would care for the goats. We agreed to make an exception to our policy and we are so very happy to have them here with us.
